It s not oak. It doesn t look like oak. Parts of it kind of looks like faux oak. The seat is solid pine. The ends are some sort of plywood or laminate. But it s 349 and if you want oak it would cost a lot more. It s solid and sturdy and went together pretty easy. One of the screw holes on the side was not aligned so I enlarged it a bit with a drill and it was no problem. If I had just left the screw out it wouldn t have mattered that much. A coat of paint would make it look much classier. Good purchase. Made in Vietnam.
